Bona fide proof of ownership
An NFT is a unit of data stored on a blockchain that certifies that a digital asset – which could be an image, video, piece of audio, text, or any other digital creation – is unique and, therefore, not interchangeable.
While a copy of the original file is available for anyone to obtain, NFTs are tracked on blockchains to provide the owner with indelible proof of ownership.
Secured by the veracity and dependability of blockchain, NFTs offer bona fide proof of possession of something that, until recently, was considered too intangible to legally own.
